An acidic substance is applied to the teeth to make the enamel rougher so that it becomes more receptive to the restoration. Using special cement, our dentist will attach the veneers and shine a special light onto the teeth to harden the material quickly. We will clean any excess cement and check to see that everything is okay.

How Long Do Veneers Last?

Veneers can last a lifetime since they are made of strong durable material. They resist staining and chipping. Your job is to carefully keep the veneers in good shape. Keep up with your day-to-day brushing and flossing routine and see our dentist at least two times a year. If you get veneers, it is also a good time to break habits like biting pencils and nails. Chewing on hard objects tends to damage veneers, as it does to your regular teeth. Avoid this habit because it almost takes the same force to damage or break a veneer as it would do a regular tooth.
